Holy Cow

"Cow. I gotta go Julia, we got cows. Another Cow" The Movie Twister

http://movieclips.com/Jt4S-twister-movie-we-got-cows/

It's seems like there are cows every where. What is the fascination with cows?

Of course we've all seen these famous cows and they make sense in Chick-fil-A's advertising

But cows in art? These are by Andy Warhol

Is it because they are cute?

funny?

entertaining?

taste good?

sacred?
Cattle are considered sacred in various world religions, most notably Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism as well as the religions of Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, and Ancient Rome. In some regions, especially India, the slaughter of cattle may be prohibited and their meat may be taboo. (Wikipedia)

In 1999 they paraded through the streets of Chicago. Local artists, architects, celebrities, etc. decked 300 cows out and paraded through the streets to promote Chicago. It was cow-mania!

For some reason we love them? Here's some interesting works of art!

The Yellow Cow by Franz Marc

Just go to Etsy.com and search "Cow Painting" and 25 pages of cow paintings come up!

And some other interesting cows:
